My life has been centered around startups for the last 10 years. I started my first company when I was still in high school and went on to study computer science. I spent a couple of years in IT consulting and had the great luxury of doing a lot of web-related stuff.

It wasn’t until the early 2000s that I would make up my mind to move to Silicon Valley to learn more about startups and the eco-system there. Starting my second venture hasn’t been all that successful as the fund-raising had come to an early end when Lehman collapsed. I then returned to Germany and joined a venture capital firm which I left after almost 3 years, doing B2B and new media investments.

I am truly passionate about startups and technology and love to get my head around businesses, technology and the intersect of the two (i.e. startups).
